WHO WE ARE:

• We are a husband and wife team that has been devoted to the liberty and truth movement for about a decade. After years of researching, we started our website back in 2006 and proceeded to add to it ever since. Included in the Network of content is the website itself, the facebook page, our twitter account, a youtube channel, Flickr account, and now this new Social Network. We hope it appeals to you and we look forward to seeing you on here! As always, we thank you for your support!

WHY WE DID THIS:

• One of the reasons we decided to venture in this direction was due to the new rules of facebook. We noticed many people talking about privacy issues and about leaving facebook because of them. It became our goal to give people an alternative place to exchange information, blog their thoughts or just hang out and meet new passionate like-minded people. We kept in mind that facebook has essentially embedded itself into our way of sharing information, so we designed this site so it can work WITH your facebook or twitter accounts if you choose to do so. Also, unlike facebook, WE WILL NEVER SELL ANY OF YOUR INFORMATION FOR ANY REASON and YOUR CONTENT IS YOUR CONTENT! Please feel free to let us know your thoughts and what you think about our format.

HOW THIS SITE WORKS:

• When we first decided to do this, we started looking at how much it would cost to sustain a site like this keeping in mind that we want it to continually grow. At first it was discouraging, but then we looked at ways to lighten the load. We thought about charging $5 a month to members, but worried about the initial growth that would be needed to justify such a fee (obviously with limited members, the experience here is also limited). The solution we came up with was a way to host it for FREE!  With free membership, members don't have to worry about giving credit card information or any type of personal information that is outside of their profile information. How did we do this? Well, if you notice, when you sign up, we ask you a few simple questions about where you shop most online. This information is not displayed with your other information, nor can it be searched from our search bar. What we then do is attempt to become affiliates with those stores. If the store approves us, they give us an ID and we use this ID to create a link to their website. When a person goes to their website after clicking on one of our ad links and makes a purchase, the store in turn gives us a small commission based on the sale. So instead of charging our members to help us, we ask that if you are going to make a purchase at a store that we are an affiliate of, PLEASE support us by first clicking through the link on our site. We will hopefully be making it easy to do so by placing the ad on the bottom of your "MY PAGE" profile, but for now, we will be placing the links on the right side of the Main page and in the SHOP area. We will send updates whenever we get new affiliates as well. This system is voluntary and is the best option we found to help us in financially producing our network. Remember, facebook is free too, but the cost is in your content becoming their content. We hope you decide to support us and look forward to giving back to this community in many different ways!
